And the winner is!...
The votes are in, and we're pleased to announce the winner of the Delaware North Ultimate Football Food final at Derby County is James Hodgkinson with the All-in-One Pie.
James, 36, from Derby, took on the two other finalists to be crowned champion after the results were counted.
The Ultimate Football Food final invited Derby County fans to submit their ideas for alternative football fayre that could feature at the Pride Park Stadium. The three shortlisted dished were then created and offered to the public to taste and judge before the Derby vs Nottingham Forest match on Saturday 17 January.
With 41% of the public vote, James's winning dish was the 'All-in-One' pie, combining minted lamb with the obligatory mushy peas and gravy all within the pastry.
The other two shortlisted dishes were Stuffee Pie – a chicken, sausage meat and stuffing pie created by Heather Gomez, 28, from Alvaston – and the Ramburger – a minted lamb and pea burger created by Kevin Savage, 56, from Swadlincote.
